It all began in 2007. Passionate about innovation, engineer Michel Duran grew increasingly frustrated by seeing technology constrained by outdated processes.

He decided to found Dunasys with a simple yet ambitious vision: to put technology and data at the service of mobility.

“I wanted to prove that it was possible to create embedded systems that were smarter, more reliable… and above all, more human.”

From a small office in Vélizy, near Paris, a handful of engineers joined him on the journey. Very quickly, Dunasys earned the trust of several major automotive players and established itself as an agile and innovative engineering partner.

After years of hard work, business began to thrive once again, and the company regained momentum.

The company became Dunasys Engineering and reached a decisive milestone in its development with the creation of its Hardware Division.

Until then focused primarily on software, Dunasys broadened its vision.

The new strategic direction was clear: to design complete solutions, from hardware to software, capable of supporting manufacturers throughout the entire product lifecycle.

The following year, a major manufacturer entrusted Dunasys with an unprecedented challenge: designing a custom embedded diagnostic tool.

The Dunasys teams immediately got to work and, within just a few months, developed the Dunadiag, the first product entirely designed and developed by Dunasys.

This project marked a major turning point for the company. The Dunadiag became the foundation for a new generation of data loggers and telematics devices, paving the way for large-scale production.

Fourteen years after its creation, Dunasys saw its first products deployed in mass production as original equipment for the automotive industry.

It was a major achievement and recognition of expertise built on rigor, commitment, and passion.

But for Michel and his teams, it was only the beginning.

The company expanded into new sectors: Defense, Energy, Marine, and Railway.

Across every industry, the same commitment remained: delivering reliability and innovation in support of more efficient and sustainable mobility.

The Group entered a new era with the creation of Dunasys Telematics, a division dedicated to telematics and connected vehicles.

The team then developed the DCAR product range, a series of devices combining hardware, firmware, and cloud technologies to enable real-time fleet management and maintenance.

In 2024, Dunasys reached a major strategic milestone with the opening of its first international subsidiary in Bangalore, India.

This new office became a regional business and support hub, dedicated to developing the Asian market and providing close support to local customers.

The following year, the Group expanded into Casablanca and established Dunasys Morocco, its second subsidiary, to support African partners with greater proximity and responsiveness.

An additional office was also opened in Turin, the historic heart of the automotive industry.

This wave of expansion marked Dunasys’ entry onto the international stage: the company became a significant global player, with a strong presence across three continents.

In 2026, the Group established Dunasys Ingénieri, a dedicated entity focused on technical assistance, custom engineering projects, and dedicated engineering teams. That same year, Dunasys Group acquired a majority stake in Geeko SAS, a recognized engineering services company specializing in embedded systems.

Today, Dunasys Group is a global player in embedded engineering and telematics, with operations across Europe, Asia, and Africa. The Group combines technical expertise, product innovation, and a sustainable vision to address the key challenges shaping the future of mobility: electrification, connectivity, cybersecurity, and data valorization.
