The Dunadiag is a compact datalogger (or embedded data recorder) specifically designed to capture, record, and transmit vehicle data during validation campaigns, road testing, and field diagnostics. With its optimized dimensions and low weight, this miniature logger is very easy to install. It is ideal for the day-to-day monitoring of prototypes and test fleets, whether for the validation of automatic emergency braking systems, lane keeping, or electric vehicle architectures.
The Dunadiag centralizes a wide variety of measurements and data through its multiple channels and direct connections to the vehicle network:
- Onboard network: direct connection via automotive Ethernet and 2 HS/LS CAN channels to match real-world driving conditions.
- Internal and external sensors: data collection via accelerometer, magnetometer, and gyroscope, as well as the management of analog and digital inputs to measure physical variables such as voltage or temperature via a thermocouple.
Reliability is the Dunadiag’s strength: its data upload is 100% stable, eliminating recording gaps and avoiding the need to re-run a test. For high-frequency or long-duration test series, the system uses smart storage. Data is temporarily saved to the internal memory (flash and Micro-SD card up to 256 GB), then automatically transferred to your servers via Wi-Fi, MQTT, or SFTP. Once the transfer is confirmed, the device’s memory frees itself automatically, preventing any saturation.
Yes. Although it operates standalone in the vehicle, the Dunadiag datalogger includes cellular connectivity for the real-time transmission of short, critical information, such as alerts or errors. This active monitoring function allows your teams to react immediately to an anomaly on the road, while the large volume of raw data is offloaded in the background for later analysis.
Unlike a simple digital data recorder, the Dunadiag offers contextual video capture. A single button press instantly tags an event on the road. The device also processes video directly within its system. It includes smart features such as automatic blurring of license plates and faces, which eliminates time-consuming post-processing in the lab and ensures GDPR compliance from the moment of acquisition.
